In Brazil, a Jungle Home

“The house, four staggered stories around an exposed living area, was designed by the Brazilian architect Severiano Mario Porto in the 1970s and constructed using many types of Amazonian hardwoods. When the house was first built it was accessible only from the water. These days it is accessible only by dirt road, a feature Mr. Costa and many of the owners of neighboring properties want to keep.”
